A motorcyclist is in critical condition after being struck by a car in Tempe on Monday morning. Tempe police responded to the crash at Baseline Road and Beck Avenue, just east of Priest Drive. According to officials, an eastbound driver attempted a left turn in front of the oncoming motorcycle, leading to the collision.
Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Baseline Road remains closed between Beck Avenue and Darrow Drive as authorities investigate and work to clear the scene. There is no estimated time for reopening.
Police have not yet released further details about the driver involved or whether any citations will be issued. The investigation is ongoing.
